Your new role
On behalf of Nalco Water, Hays is looking for an Area Manager to execute the agreed sales strategy for Denmark. In this role, the Area Manager will lead the execution of the growth strategy and play a key role in stimulating proactive entrepreneurship within the organization by commercially expanding both existing and new relations. Furthermore, you will have managerial responsibility for the Danish sales team consisting of five in total. You will liaise the daily communication to the internal relations but also build strong relationships with existing and prospected clients. In addition, you will develop and implement the strategy for the sales team through regular coaching and training sessions in order to achieve growth. It is crucial that you develop and maintain a spirit of teamwork with all associated internally to build business and achieve growth goals.

What you’ll need to succeed
The preferred candidate possesses an engineering educational background specialized in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering. You possess a minimum of five years of experience within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry, and are therefore holding valuable knowledge and a proven track record within sales and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, it is required that you previously have experience of both people and sales management. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. On a personal level, you are accessible and open-minded. It is crucial that you can interact with the sales team in order to develop each individual. Additionally, the position requires from the right candidate to be trustworthy both internally and also with external partners.
